Sinulog 2013 - just to keep this blog alive again

I've been cruel to this blog again. I've neglected it and failed to update. But at least I do try my best to comment back to those who kindly left comments. Thank you very much all of you who still reads this blog. This is one place where I would be extremely glad to have stalkers! (Not equating readers to stalkers here ok. I'm just saying.)

So, I don't really have anything interesting to blog about now. Here are just some pictures from Sinulog. I tell you, they're really boring because I'm not a Catholic in the first place so I wasn't able to appreciate much the religious significance of the festival. Also, I'm not a party person so I also don't have any appreciation for all the festive celebrations too. boohoo. Boring me.

But my friends and I went out last Sunday anyway to see some street dancing!

Cool colorful costumes!

These costumes are really glittery ones but I felt really sorry for the dancers. It was so hot and crowd control was poor.

Coco Martin. The crowd got worse when the floats with the celebrities passed by! I usually avoid large crowds and it's my first time to be caught amidst so many people.

first Sinulog together.

meet my roommate!

This is when the crowd already dispersed after the celebrity float passed by.
Giant Christmas Tree at Fuente ahead!

Souvenir masks for sale!
Although I can't imagine hanging one of these in the living room. I think it'll be really scary.

Crown Regency!

glasses from Firmoo. review coming up!
I also had to buy a wide-brim hat then and there because it was too hot and my umbrella wouldn't do that day.

My Saturday was better actually. I got to watch Les Miserables. What a lovely movie! I cried in the end. I can't help it. I love Jean Valjean's character!

ticket stub from Les Miserables and stickers from Sanuk that some random Sanuk models pasted on our cheeks during the street dancing.

Got to eat at Teriyaki Boy again because all the fast food at Ayala were crowded.

ramen from Teriyaki Boy. yumm. :)

Spicy Tuna Sashimi Tartare.
Loved this!
My roommate and bf don't eat raw food, but they liked this one nonetheless.

Happy weekend everyone!

  6. I am always intrigued by festivals, perhaps it's because I've never been to one. But then again, I'm not good with crowded places and humid weather - I'd probably collapse, lol. And omg, Les Mis :(( I absolutely adore that movie and I cried a bucket of tears at the ending! :((

  12. You look so gorgeous in these pictures! :)

I haven't seen Les Miserebles but everyone keeps saying great things about it. Honestly, I've never been interested in that musical and have no idea what it's about but I just might have to see for myself what all the hype is about.
