Haul time. I love making this kind of post because I get to recall the things that had been running in my mind when I got these things. Shopping is always a fun experience for me not just because I get to acquire stuff but also because I can get my brain running in a way that only women can understand.
For instance a week ago, I had to go to the mall to buy plane tickets. I passed by the Revlon counter and decided to do some swatches. I was more like searching for stuff that I could probably add to my wishlist, not really intending to buy anything at all. But the SA was quite knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about so in the end, I ended up picking up two lippies.
Revlon Colorburst in Raspberry and Mauve. Original price: P575 each
I felt guilty about splurging on lippies and decided that I'll just give them as Christmas presents instead. I deliberately left them at Gensan when I went back to Cebu so I won't be tempted to use them.
After making my purchase, I decided to do a bit of window shopping. Looking back, I highly regretted that I did because just when I stepped into the department store, Taylor's Swift's Our Song started playing and it suddenly awakened my thirst for princessy stuff and I found myself craving for dresses (she was wearing a beautiful blue dress in the music video). I decided to try on some dresses that got my attention. The song ended, but another Swift song played again. Apparently, they were playing her album. I can't help but linger. I did not find a dress I like but I got these instead.
Price: Approx P200
Mustard short with blue belt. I rarely encounter a pair of shorts that fit my body shape well. This one did so I had to get it.
Price: Approx P250
This instantly caught my attention. It was in the plus-size area and I have no idea what it was doing there. I got it because it was long enough for me and because of the details.
ribbons! There's another one with kitty patterns but I only had to pick one.
Price: Approx P300
I haven't been attracted to neutral colors lately and I just randomly tried this on. Surprisingly it fit me really well. I just had to get it!
Truth is, not all my shopping spree are spontaneous. Some are very well thought off. Such is the case with this LBD (little black dress)
I got it in a thrift shop 2 years ago for 15 pesos! Can it get any cheaper than that? It was a long sleeved dress and I wasn't really able to wear it. But when I saw Chriselle Lim's video here, I suddenly saw a vision for the original long-sleeved dress. I took it to the taylor and I asked for the sleeves to be cut and viola! I now have an LBD that I can play with. Total cost? 45 pesos (Approximately $1)!
Another result of careful planning are these wedges from Parisian.
I've been wanting to have it for the longest time but at P900 it was too expensive (and quite impractical) for me especially since I'm not the type that wear heels (because bf is only an inch taller.haha).
So I said to myself, I'll only get it if they put it on sale. And they did! In the end I got it for P750! Original price: P900
While I was growing up, I've always been taller than most girls in my class. Even in college, no matter how plainly dressed I am, I still tend to stand-out(in a bad way because I was lanky and clumsy) because of my height. That didn't really go well with my shy personality so I subconsciously adapted a slouched posture. Needless to say, I avoided heels all the time.
But that isn't the case now! For one, I'm not that shy anymore. Also, there's so many foreigners and well-dressed people in Cebu, I just blend in. That is why it makes perfect sense for me now to buy another pair of wedges!
I still prefer wedges over pumps and stilettos because they're aren't as punishing to my feet.
This purchase is one of those spontaneous buy. I was strolling at the mall with a friend one weekend and just when I told her that I won't just buy shoes from random stalls and that I'm gonna get a pair from Parisian, I saw these and I had to eat my words right then and there. :(
Price: P700+
My sister went to Thailand and got us stuff. She mostly bought food but she also gave me this lovely dress:
I love the color and the print.
Umbrellas!
She also got me this bag.
It's very handy and I always carry it around these days.
I also got another pair of swimwear.
Since it isn't peak season, this one was discounted. Forgot the price though. But I really advise buying swimwear during fall/winter season as they usually put these on sale. I also advise buying coats and jackets during summer. hahahaha! Shopping is all about strategy people!
Early last October, I got a few accessories.
Cute neck pieces!
I just have to jump into the bandwagon!
I've worn this for a few occasions already. One was here. I wish I can show you guys my outfits. But I don't have a photographer so I can't get a decent shot. I tried the mirror thing for a while but lookbook.nu rejected one of my looks because the picture was blurry. hahaha!
That famous owl. These necklaces were supposed to be gifts but I started liking them. Soon enough, I was too attached to let them go. Fail. T_T
Now for cosmetics and skin care. I didn't get much for the last two months. Hurrah for me!
Excel Paris in 501 - A product that I shouldn't have bought. I have a swatch here.
Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm in Island Kiss - review coming up!
Sophie Martin Lipstick in Mango Peach - review coming up!
Nichido Cosmetics tru lashes Eyelas Adhesive - review coming up.
I also bought glitters too.
No biggie but these are so cute! So useful too when I did a fairy make-up once.
Lastly, these products that almost have their own cult followings.
I've always been using Clean and Clear's Oil Control film so I don't need to explain this. If ever I do change my mind, I might just write a proper review.
Human Nature Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil has it's own following too. I'm still testing this product and I'm really excited to report some results.
That's it! As this is a combined haul post for the month of Oct and Nov, I can safely say that I was actually able to really save this month. Kudos to me!
Thanks for reading my blog!

You have some wonderful finds! I can tell you love pretty things.
