I grabbed this product right after I got home from Boracay last June 2012. A lot of tiny zits started to appear and I just had to do something about it! My previous spot corrector was working out for me but unfortunately, I left it in Iligan. Now of all the spot corrector out there in the Philippine market, I think the Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-on is the most advertised. So I was quick to get one. I also am a user of the Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On for almost 2 years now so I figured I might as well get another one of their products.
Hello nemo at the back!
Don't you think the name "anti-imperfections" sounded too good? We'll see about that!
And what's the secret formula?
Salicylic Acid + HerbaRepair
Claims:
Salicylic Acid quickly dries out imperfections instantly.
HerbaRepair Fades marks.
Redness is reduced within 5 hours.
imperfections and marks are visibly reduced after 2 days.
It's a bit unnerving that "applications" at "Continue applications" is misspelled.
As for the packaging, it is the same as that of Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On. It uses the same metal ball.
It comes out as a really clear liquid too.
Likes:
Effective. It's true that pimple is visibly reduced after a few applications.
Except for the metal ball, I love the packaging. It's so easy to bring around and quite sturdy.
Economical. It costs 199 pesos at Watsons and it lasts a really really long time!
It has a minty feel.
Dislikes:
I don't think it speeds up the disappearance of pimple marks.
It's hard to wear make-up when I have this on.
There is noticeable peeling that a sheer foundation can't cover up.
I am not a fan of the metal roll on on this one. It makes it hard to apply the product at a specific spot only.
Some people may be allergic to Salicylic Acid, which is one of its main ingredients.
When my face got cleared up, I let a friend of mine try it for more than two weeks. He had acne-prone skin and Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-on did not help him much.
Over-all Rating:
3.5/5
Repurchase?
Mine actually got stolen (can you believe that?). That is why right now I am really feeling that saying "You don't know what you've got until it is gone". I miss my Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-on. I didn't give it a 5/5 rating but it actually worked for me and I love having this around. But I also want to try out other products. So my answer to this is YES I will repurchase when I run out of anti-acne products in the market that I want to try.
Thanks for reading!

You tried it na din! Hmm, masyado lang over yung ADS ng Garnier no? Pero saken talagang effective naman sya. It depends talaga no? Want ko pa naman itry sis yung pra sa dark circles, nakita ko sa watsons 2 for 179, the two variants. Hmm, try ko ba? Thanks for the comment ha? Natuwa ako maraming nakarelate sa "Do I really need makeup" post ko. What you stated there is true! I am very blessed to have you guys as my supporter! And inspiration! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing on this product for a loooong time, but I just didn't try it, because I didn't believe the promises they made. After reading this review, I was almost right! You might as well buy pure Salicylic Acid at the pharmacy. I think that'll be more effective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
