Hi guys! How have you been?
My internet is pretty slow right now so instead of checking out other people's blogs, I decided to write this entry instead and just schedule it. :) Oh I love making scheduled posts. Sometimes I forget the date I scheduled them and they get published while they are actually still unfinished. :( booooooo. Hopefully it won't happen with this one.
Sooooo...
This the last part (at last!) of my North Luzon RoadTrip Series that mainly features a vacation I had with my family during the first week of April. I know. It's that long ago. But I want so much to blog about this and there's so many pictures, I thought I might as well take my time.
Ok. enough blahs. Lets start with the pictures at Enchanted Kingdom now, shall we?
Here's my typical self-portrait again. :) Oh yes, what better way to greet you my dear readers.
Because my younger sister and I still had our student ID, we were able to avail the Student KaSummer Promo. We get to have a free Hotdog-on-stick and 1 Coke in Can! Yey! Considering how expensive the food inside Enchanted Kingdom is, this is already a good deal!
Our tickets cost P400 that time. It entitled us to unlimited access to some of their park rides.
My parents only paid for the Carousel Ticket which allows them unlimited access to the Carousel, which is kinda sweet actually if you think about it. I know it's a lousy ride but can you just imagine your parents riding the merry-go-round and being too caught up with each other to notice the time?
If you want to see the full list of their ticket rates, just go to Enchanted Kingdom's official website.
First off, there are people performing different dances around the park. Here is one. I don't know what this is called. I've seen some belly dancers and hip hop dancers too. Then in the end I realized that the dancers for all the dancers are the same! They just keep on changing costumes and make-up! How cool is that?
The first ride we picked was the Merry-Mixed-Up. We were just sort of warming up for the more extreme rides.
I know you see this a lot in peryahans but this one actually goes up and down while it goes round and round so yeah I kinda enjoyed this.
Still too slow though so I was able to take pictures. Oh hello worn-out snickers.
Took this quick group picture. Me with my sisters and my sister's bf. I love this shot. Makes me feel creative.
After the boring ride, we went for the Space Shuttle, which is a roller coaster!
Would you just look at that.
Just before getting onboard. Obviously I can't take a picture during the ride.
I'm such a loser here.
I threw up. :(
Well not during the ride but at the toilet afterwards, but its still the same thing.
"Make sure that this part of the roller-coaster can be seen in the picture ok?"
I was telling my sister's bf, who wasn't much of a photography-enthusiast. He got the view right though, but obviously not the timing
Next part is the Jungle Log Jump! Don't have much photos here because we can't bring out the camera else it'll get wet.
Before the ride.
A random picture from the bridge.
To me this is the scariest ride! The roller coaster left me all dizzy, but see those winding river that the log your riding in follows. There's a part where it goes up, up, up, really high, and then you fall in a sort of really steep slide. You get wet as your log splashes into the water. What makes it scary is as you can see in the pictures, there's no belt, whatsoever. They only have these thin bars you can hold on to.
After the ride. I'm so wet here already!
Bye bye Jungle Outpost! Where to next?
We decided to relax a bit and decided to take a seat at the ferries wheel.
I'm pretty much relaxed here, enjoying the view and the wind on my face.
But my sis's bf was obviously not!
Anyway, along with the Space Shuttle and Jungle Log Jam, the Ferries Wheel is one ride that you mustn't miss when you go to Enchanted Kingdom mainly because you can see the whole place when you're on top.
Here's a view of the Jungle Log Jam from the Ferries Wheel. The really steep slide that I'm talking about is the one that starts at the little hut.
You can see the whole of the Space Shuttle too. Just look at all those twists and turns.
A view of the swan lake. It's quite near the Ferries Wheel.
Ahhh. This. Looks like a boring old pole doesn't it?
But let's change perspective.
Doesn't look too boring now, eh?
We were brave enough to try though.
So we went
Up, up, (and you can't actually see what's above you, just how high you are)
Up, and up
And suddenly without warning ..
Oh yeah, free falling here!
Whew! Landed safely back to earth!
Picked up our belongings
I'm still too full of adrenaline, I can't stop laughing.
And my sister's legs are still a bit wobbly.
Kudos to Papa for the pictures documenting our fright moment.
Just a random family picture. Journey to the Center of the Earth is showing? Apparently, before 3D theatres became popular in the Philippines, it's already one of the attractions at Enchanted Kingdom.
Met some of Ronald McDonald's relatives.
We also tried Anchor's Away but we didn't have any pictures. I got tired of taking pictures at this point of our travel actually. I had fun there though. The motion causes this squishy feeling in my stomach. But I found out that if I kept on screaming, it kinda lessens that sensation. So yeah, I screamed all throughout the ride.
Anyway, we tried Jungle Log Jam again in the evening!
And had a photo taken with the best father in the world!
We had dinner at the food court and that's it.
Look how haggard my face is here. :P
The end!
End of my North Luzon Roadtrip Series too! :)
