How it Feels like Under the Sea - Part 1

I obviously suck in coming up with a title.

This is a part of the North Luzon Roadtrip for the Summer of 2012 that I'm having here in my blog. I don't know if any of you noticed, but I really like documenting our family travels here so just bear with me ok?

So on day 4, we paid a visit at Manila Ocean Park. I suppose you guys there at Manila are frequent visitors of this place. But for us who are from Mindanao(or Visayas), its really rare to actually get to visit an ocean park. White sand beaches, malls, and even amusement parks are all over the Philippines. But an ocean park? Nah. I don't think so.

Here are some packages that the park has to offer. We got Marine Life Encounter because we only have a limited time and we won't be around at night time to see the Fountain Show.

A quick FOTD:

Face:
Myra Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory
Sansan Two-way Cake Foundation 01

Eyes:
Sansan Liquid Eyeliner
I suppose by now you noticed that I always use this liquid eyeliner. It's not because it's the best one out there. In fact, I can tell that it's not. It's brush is too thick to create a smooth thin line. However, I got so used to it that it doesn't bother me anymore. I usually apply my liquid eyeliner in a thick line anyway. I'm too comfortable with this that I even have multiple tubes, some of which I use with my "clients". Besides, it's really cheap. And it has all those vitamins that Sansan cosmetics usually have.

The first stop: THE SEA LION SHOW

See how hot it is at the bleachers? It was 2pm I think and the sun protection I was wearing on my face was not enough. I got a bit sunburned after watching the show.

There are also a bit of a fountain show before the main show.

Here comes the Sea lions!!

I'm extremely amazed by their trainors! They had so many tricks to show the audience.

The best part is when they asked for audience participation,
I got picked when I volunteered!

The Sealion's kinda shy at first. But in the end he gave me A KISS!

MWUAH!

They seriously need to give their sea lion a peppermint first cos my cheek smelled like fish right after!

Next stop was JELLIES!!!

I had so many beautiful pictures but I had to limit them in this blog, unfortunately. But I'm uploading them to my facebook, so you can view it there if we're friends.

Just look at those things. It's no wonder they're called fairies of the sea.

They may look all dreamy while they're inside the aquarium, but I can't imagine seeing this much jellyfish in the sea. For those of you who don't know yet, jellyfish sting hurts a lot. While some are simply extremely painful and not really poisonous there are some species that are so venomous that if you're attacked by a whole hoard of them, you can easily die within seconds.

I'm not exaggerating.

doesn't look too pretty now, eh?

That is why these jellyfish that sticks on the aquarium wall kinda freaked me out. Imagine it sticking to your legs or tummy while you're out in the sea, swimming.

But this whole room full of tube aquariums with what looks like luminous jellyfish made me forget all those nasty stuff.

Mom, can I bring this one home?

Don't you just wish you live in a cartoon world where all jellyfishes are friendly?

Beauty and danger.

Sometimes, they just go together.

the End.

Watch out for part 2!

I initially intended to just fit everything into one long post, but then I kept on adding pictures and it's getting too lengthy, I might as well split it into two.

Check out the rest of my North Luzon adventure:
