Summer 2012 Roadtrip Part 1: A Bit Of Pampanga

I can't believe how long I've been gone from this blog. I definitely miss blogging. For the past month, all I had were scheduled posts. Thanks for all who still visited my blog despite my absence. I'm definitely back in real time.

So now I'll be telling you about what I've been up to these last few days. I've been on vacation! :) I decided to chop the whole trip into different posts because I've been into quite a few places and took so much pictures that in the end, I was able to accumulate 6 gigabytes worth of it! I'm pretty tired now while writing this post so I'm just starting of with the first place we visited right after we landed: Pampanga!

Pampanga is the home town of my mother. I wasn't able to visit the place since I was young so I was pretty excited to be back again. First stop: Susie's Cuisine

Here they serve the best Palabok I've tasted. ever.

Once again we were too hungry to take pictures of the other food so this is the only one I got. But believe me when I say that you should definitely check out this place if you happen to visit Pampanga.

It was holy week so we saw some flagellants. We were inside a moving vehicle so I couldn't take a proper picture. But just look at all those blood in their backs. Made me cringe.

Next stop: Clarke Air Base.
They had a sort of play ground made out of old helicopter and airplanes.

Later in the evening we had some taste of Kapampangan cooking again but sadly, I wasn't able to take much pictures. Here it is:

Sisig

Kare kare.

Yum. Yum.

Well that's it for today! Thanks for reading! :)

Check out the rest of my North Luzon adventure:

  4. pictures can really upgrade a blog entry to a well-recommended post, but as always, you can replace the lack of images with well-crafted writing. :) just keep on posting :)
